An Asian and Australian fusion themed venue in the Inner CBD suburbs is looking for an experienced Sous Chef. A career with a well respected and awarded bar restaurant provides the opportunity to work alongside an amazing team. Experience in Japanese or Chinese style food is preferred although not essential.
 
The Role
  • Support the Head Chef managing this amazing venue
  • Stock management and ordering
  • Effective and efficient management of kitchen staff ensuring the quality of product and service
  • Effective communication with the front of house management and staff
  • Maintain product integrity, consistency, and quality 
  • Ensure daily par levels are met
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of kitchen cleanliness, health and safety along with stock control

About you:
  • Being a chef is not your job, it's your passion
  • Cool under pressure and excited by a challenging fast paced environment
  • Minimum 2 year's experience as a Sous Chef within a fast paced or similar kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster 
  • A team player that supports other team members
  • Ambitious and want to make your mark on Sydney's food scene
  • A passion and commitment to delivering high quality food 
  • Must have experience as a Sous Chef and leading a team
