Lazerpig is a growing and thriving pizzeria based in the inner Melbourne suburb of Collingwood. Due to popularity, we are expanding our team and are recruiting a Sous Chef to join our professional kitchen on an ongoing basis. We go far beyond Pizza & Burgers, we thrive ourselves on customer service and maintaining high standards throughout the kitchen. Top notch ingredients prepared simply and with love, culinary skill and consistency no matter how busy we are is a badge we wear as a team.
About the Role
Answering directly to the Executive Chef, this role is one of two Sous Chefs who run the kitchen on a daily basis under the direction of the Executive Chef. We can offer a competitive wage in line with the Award including all penalties and entitlements + Super. We understand all chefs need a work-life balance so we do not ask our kitchen to work 45 hour weeks. Instead we offer training and support to maximise the productivity for 38 hours per week. A modern Kitchen with high quality equipment & produce is also on offer. You will also;

Ensure a high professional standard is maintained in both service and product

Be responsible for the kitchen on behalf of the Executive Chef during shifts

Work closely with the head Chef to execute all functions of the kitchen

Stock Control

Train & Supervise new staff

Meet OH&S standards & identify potential Hazards through equipment checks
About you
Essentially, we are looking for hard working Sous Chefs with demonstrated experience & skills that are committed to the role on offer. You will also be;

Able to work flexible Hours including Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights if on shift
