The Southern Cross Club is currently seeking suitably qualified and motivated applicants to join our Yacht Club in the full time position of Reception and Bookings Attendant.

About our Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, the Reception and Bookings Attendant provides customer service excellence being responsible for bookings, boat ticket sales and providing administrative support to the Yacht Club team.

You will have to:

  • Provide administrative support using Salesforce
  • Handle phone call enquiries
  • Provide cruise ticket sales which includes cash handling
  • Assist with functions and events management
  • Ensure housekeeping and general tidiness of Front Office and Foyer areas
  • Undertake general service duties
  • Communicate and liaise with team members and other areas of operation
  • Follow hygienic beverage handling procedures
  • Adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation
  • Be able to work full time from Tuesday to Saturday as well as evenings

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar club or hotel position
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Have valid RSA certificate (ACT valid)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very good computer skills
  • Previous experience with cash handling
  • Be friendly, smiley, sociable and welcoming to our customers, to create a great atmosphere
  • Be honest and reliable
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work full time, including week-ends as required
