About the role:
POTTO is an up and coming fast restaurant brand specialising in Asian Fusion, particularly Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese Foods. You will work collaboratively with the owner to develop and build on a range of bowls and dishes. As a head chef, you will be required to assist with developing formal recipes, developing close relationships with our supplier, assist with recruitment and training of your new team of staff, restaurant setup, rostering an ordering, and preparation for the inaugural store opening. This role will see a very passionate chef who wants to take their career to the next level hit the ground running and actually have an input into the business from the ground up.
About you:
As a head chef, you will be responsible for the whole store, which means developing an organised system and process to ensure the restaurant is operating efficiently and smoothly. You will be a qualified chef with experience in preparing Japanese and or Asian style meals, and have proven longevity in your previous employment(s).
We are looking for someone who is passionate, vibrant, a good communicator with a great attitude and great team player. Your Leadership and Management skills will help guide the restaurant past its opening speed humps, and your strong knowledge of OH&S and Food Safety and strong focus on hygiene and cleanliness will ensure the store is always presentable.
This is a hands on, autonomous position which will suit an energetic and pro-active candidate.
The preferred start date of the successful candidate will be mid August at the latest.
