An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Chef to join our team. You will be local to site and flexible with working weekends when required.
This key role will see you:
- Responsible for food preparation and presentation
- Bring a strong business & financial acumen to the operation
- Foster, promote and grow relations with the client's on-site staff, residential community and kitchen team
- Manage, communicate and enforce the food safety plan for the entire site
- Be accountable for the food costs for the site and reporting on as requested
- Drive training and development of the kitchen team
- Develop menus, function kits, recipes, costings
- Develop, foster and promote innovation
- Implement regular themed activities and events
To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Have a real passion for food and previous client-focused experience
- A proven track record of leading and inspiring a team
- A broad base of experience to suit self service retail lunch, residential breakfast & dinner, formal functions, boardroom catering
- Proficiency with all aspects of menu planning disciplines
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary food trends
- Sound financial understanding of food and beverage costs and their impact
- Commercial Cookery qualifications
- Food Supervisor Certificate
- Food Handling Certificate
