About the Company
The organisation is a local health provider and is responsible for providing allied health and a wider range of services to a large client demographic from all walks of life in the local community.
The local community rely on services such as this to provide care and treatment for a range of conditions. There is an already established team consisting of 14 allied health staff including occupational therapists, podiatrists, speech pathologists, nurses and an experienced manager on site to provide support and guidance.
About the Job
You will work as part of the busy allied health team under the allied health manager. You will work closely as part of a MDT, providing services to a range of clients with a wide range of conditions. An experienced occupational therapist is required due to the autonomy required in this role. Those with under 3 years of previous experience may not be considered however should call for more details. Given the nature of the service, presentation will vary offering a wide range of clinical experience. It’s likely you will gain exposure to a wide range of patients presenting with various conditions such as general disabilities, orthopaedic, neurological and others.
Day to Day Duties
Day to day duties will include:
- Working one to one with clients, families and other members of the team
- Providing treatment, education and guidance
- Providing assessment and prescription of modifications to aid independence
- Provide home based treatment, assessment and care
- Facilitating reviews, compiling reports and over service review
- Work with a large network of clients
- Create and review care and treatment plans based on individual needs
Skills and Experience
- Ability to engage clients from a range of backgrounds
- At least 3 years of previous experience
- Full registration with no practice limitations
- Eligibility to work and live in Australia
