About Neurosciences at Monash Medical Centre

Our Neurosciences Ward 54, is a 46 bed unit which includes High Dependency beds and video monitoring beds, and primarily focuses on patient care and recovery of Neurosurgery, Neurology and Stroke patients.

Our department is one of two specialised Neuroscience facilities across Victoria and operates across a 24/7 rotational roster.

The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team with the sole purpose of delivering exceptional patient centred care in a family friendly environment is our common goal.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and qualified Registered Nurses (RN’s) or outstanding Enrolled Endorsed Nurse to join our team at Monash Neuroscience Ward 54.  We currently have permanent full time and part time roles for highly passionate and extremely dedicated Nurses with acute clinical experience, ideally, but not limited to this specialty.

• Delivery of a high standard of safe patient and family centre care to patients who are both highly acute to ambulant and self caring
• Escalate clinical concerns and changes in a patient’s condition to the ANM and medical staff
• Communication within the multidisciplinary Team
• Participate in Quality and Safety Activities and maintenance of NSQHS standards
• Support the team in working towards meeting Organisational KPI’s
• Annual mandatory training across OHS and clinical practice 

About you

You are passionate about Neuroscience nursing and demonstrate the following:

• Registered Nurse experience , a minimum of 12 months
• As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you have Acute Hospital experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and superior time management skills
• Evidence of a commitment to professional development
• Thrive using your proven critical thinking & problem solving skills
