An excellent opportunity is available for caring, passionate, enthusiastic and experienced speech pathologists x 2 (full-time & part-time) to work in an innovative, dynamic and friendly private practice in Wagga Wagga.
Riverina Speech Pathology is a vibrant private speech pathology practice serving the Riverina region since 2010. Our team of highly trained and experienced speech pathologists see children, teenagers and adults of all ages at the practice. We are committed to working collaboratively with parents, families and other health/educational professionals, when applicable, to provide the most encouraging and successful environment for clients to achieve the best possible outcomes. Riverina Speech Pathology ensures to provide evidence based interventions in individual format to equip the clients with the skills they need to succeed.
The positions offered are for 1 x full time and 1 x part-time based on award remuneration.
The successful applicants would benefit from the supported induction with regular supervision and monthly in house professional development sessions. Access to assessment and therapy resources is also available.
The positions will involve:
- Providing family centred assessment and intervention to paediatric and adult clients with difficulties in the areas of speech, language, fluency, voice, literacy, social skills, Autism Spectrum Disorder, attention, other disabilities and swallowing. The successful candidates would be required to provide services in the clinic, local schools, pre-schools and nursing homes.
- Maintaining client records and managing a clinical caseload independently
- Providing speech pathology services in accordance with Speech Pathology Australia's Code of Ethics
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent
- Membership to Speech Pathology Australia with Certified Practicing Speech Pathology status
- Clinical paediatric & adult experience
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and their families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to apply evidence based practice
- Ability to contribute towards the growth of the company
- Strive to deliver quality therapy to our clients
- Current and valid NSW driver's licence and car
- Police check and a current working with children check
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Medicare provider number or willingness to obtain one
- Current first aid certificate
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Experience with working with children with complex communication needs/Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities
