The Position:

Corowa Court is an apartment-style residence with sweeping views of the Bay. Our modern home is located on the main esplanade in Mornington and provides person-centred care for 120 residents.

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurses (Div 1) to join our team at Corowa Court. To succeed in this role, you will be motivated to lead your team and demonstrate a compassionate, empathetic approach to resident wellbeing. You will be responsible for the provision of resident care and clinical expertise. This includes conducting care assessments, updating care plans, investigating incidents and providing guidance and leadership to the care team.

You will have significant technical experience and are passionate about raising the level of capability of the team in contemporary practice. You have a thorough understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and exemplary skills in medication and document management.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

• Division 1 Nursing Registration with AHPRA
• A collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
• Understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
• High level of accountability for own work and motivated to undertake further education and professional development
• Positive and client-focused behaviour
• Maintain documentation to accreditation standards
• You are friendly, positive and are naturally able to build relationships that make a difference
• Honest, helpful and dependable - a great asset for the team
• Shows empathy and treats others with dignity and respect.
