This is why we have partnered with one of Australia's leading mental health organisations to improve the conditions of young adolescents in their most critical time of need.
We have the opportunity to provide a clinician with incredible clinical experience, either with a Psychological, Social Work or Counselling background to liaise with stakeholders within partnered educational institutions at a full time basis.
The responsibilities of the role include:
^ Provide clinical knowledge and expertise to support school aged children post-vention with promotion, prevention and early intervention
^ Provide assessments of clients’ clinician response, and recommendations according to the national clinical framework
^ Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with participating schools so that services know who to speak to when they have questions or challenges
^ Update schools on new resources and materials available in the program, and provide those resources directly to services as required
To be eligible you will need the following:
^ Tertiary qualifications within Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Health or Speech Therapy with relevant registrations to regulatory bodies
^ Prior experience assessing and planning intervention for young people experiencing difficulties post-vention
^ Proven clinical skills in the provision of mental health care to young people, including risk assessments, and making appropriate referrals
^ Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary Allied Health Team and proven ability to train and mentor staff
This is a full time position, and own transport will be required to due the travel requirements of the role.
