Sonic Clinical Trials (SCT) is a leading provider of laboratory and site management (SMO) services, supporting biopharma and medical device companies in the conduct of clinical trials. We are currently seeking a Proposals Analyst for our Commercial Services division.
This is a new position within SCT, a rapidly growing global division of Sonic Healthcare Ltd, and offers great opportunities for career progression to the right candidate. Based in Macquarie Park, the role will appeal to a detail-oriented individual with a science background, a strong client focus, a passion for numbers and great with Excel!
The primary responsibilities of the Proposal Analyst are to prepare proposals for new business opportunities and budget variations for existing contracts. This position may also support business development efforts by assisting with Requests for Information (RFI) and marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop quotes and proposal documents for new business opportunities
- Update budgets for amendments to ongoing projects
- Regular follow-up of proposal status with clients
- Maintain an up-to-date register of all new quotes and budget amendments to existing projects to track progress
- Liaise with clients to confirm the scope of work, to ensure that budgets are clear and that terms, conditions and assumptions are accurately described
- Initiate meetings to hand-over awarded studies to Project Management
- Assist with Requests for Information (RFI) as required
- Assist with other business development, commercial and marketing activities as required
Requirements:
- Essential - Degree in Biomedical Science, Science or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ proposal development and contract management experience in a central laboratory or SMO/CRO environment is highly desirable
- Excellent oral and written English skills
- Strong Microsoft applications skills, in particular Microsoft Excel and Word
- Comfortable liaising with Client senior management teams
- Highly developed Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Time management, planning and organisational skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
