It is an exciting time to join Epworth Freemasons, having only recently been upgraded we have commenced a major redevelopment that will represent a generational change for our Clarendon Street hospital with construction underway to provide more consulting suites, operating theatres and improvements to patient amenity.
We are constructing a 12-level tower and buildings that will link to create significant onsite consulting opportunities for specialists, additional state-of-the-art theatres, expanded oncology services and extensive underground on-site car parking. We are also upgrading our maternity service facilities at our Victoria Parade campus in 2018.
The Role
We are seeking a collaborative and supportive Pastoral Care Coordinator to lead the Pastoral care team, including our visiting chaplains and volunteers at Epworth Freemasons. This role will manage the provision of a pastoral care service to the hospital population and ensure that specific multi-faith needs and sensitivities are recognised and coordinated in a timely and appropriate manner. The position will span across our division including our Clarendon Street and Victoria Parade locations.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in healthcare facility
- Relevant qualifications in Theology and other fields such as Pastoral Counselling
- Formal training in Pastoral Care and have undertaken supervised work experience
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to provide direction and lead initiatives
- A respectful and consultative leadership style
