The opportunity
An opportunity exists for a passionate professional committed to excellence with a can-do attitude and a focus on team collaboration, for the role of Psychologist/Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant. You will receive ongoing supervision and coaching to assist you in providing a high quality service to our broad range of clients.
Duties of the role include:
- Managing a caseload of clients and deliver the highest quality workplace rehabilitation services;
- Engaging in regular liaison with employers, insurers, medical practitioner and other stakeholders to facilitate a timely and appropriate return to work;
- Completing reports which communicate clinical reasoning and provide effective strategies to achieve outcomes;
- Undertaking Employee assistance program (EAP) counselling;
- Critical incident responding;
- Support counselling;
- Fitness for work and psychological assessments;
- Medicare rebated services;
- Training delivery and evaluation;
- Mediation; and
- Organisational development activities
The candidate
We are seeking a Provisionally Registered or Registered Psychologist to undertake both psychological services as well as workplace rehabilitation services.
The successful applicant will possess the following essential criteria:
- AHPRA registration/provisional registration;
- A current driver's license and a reliable car;
- Proven competency or ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds;
- Capable and confident in managing a caseload of clients;
- Proven ability to complete assessments and write reports;
- Innovative thinking and willingness to expand skill set; and
- Experience in providing short-term psychological interventions (6-10 sessions) is advantageous.
