About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Team Leader Support Services to the join the team at Mater Private Hospital Redland in a permanent, full-time capacity.
Mater Private Hospital Redland offers a convenient location for patients and visitors living in the Bayside area. Building on Mater’s reputation for clinical excellence, Mater Private Hospital Redland provides a range of specialised maternity, surgical and medical services to support the needs of the local community. The hospital features a three level main hospital building incorporating 60 inpatient beds, 3 operating theatres, birth suites and access to a wide range of clinical services.
As the Team Leader of Support Services you will be an integral member of the leadership team of this facility, reporting directly to the Director of Mater Private Hospital Redland.
What you’ll be doing
The main function of the Team Leader, Support Services is to oversee the provision of quality support services to patients, staff, family and visitors to Mater Private Hospital Redland (MPHR).
You will also be responsible of ensuring the following services are provided by the team, including contract and external support services, in an appropriately prioritised, professional and efficient manner, for exceptional standards of patient care and service:
- Housekeeping and Orderly Services
- Gardening and Maintenance/Engineering
- Car Parking and Security
- Waste Management and Linen Services
- MPHR WH&S and Emergency Planning
- Loading Dock maintenance & coordination
- Security
- Waste, Linen and Hygiene Contracts
- Maintenance/Gardening services
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, such as business or health management
- Significant expertise in a leadership role in a related discipline, with the ability to foster a strong and engaged team culture
- Significant expertise in operational management, with a proven record of achieving results in a complex and diverse setting
- Strong commercial acumen with previous experience in managing financial performance.

Salary range: $57,011 to $62,735 per annum + super (Private Support Services - Group D award)
