Medical Receptionist

Our client has a recently opened  skin cancer and aesthetic clinic, and is looking for an experienced medical receptionist to join their team of receptionists

This is a casual position which in addition to rostered weekday work, requires  flexibility to cover sick and annual leave of other staff, as well as Saturdays on a shared roster.

You will be a professional and friendly representative of our clinic, responsible for maintaining our commitment to quality care and customer service.

This role will involve assisting patients both over the phone and face to face, supporting the practice principal and other clinical staff, as well as various administrative tasks related to patient care, including management of the appointment diary. You will need to be able to follow direction, adhere to policy and procedures, and have strong team working skills. You will need to be able to learn quickly, and have a "can do" attitude.

Key requirements for the position:

•  A minimum 2 years’ experience as a medical receptionist
• An ability to prioritise, organise and multi-task 
• Best Practice Software (or similar) experience 
• An understanding of  the MBS and private billing.
•  Accurate data entry skills and competence in Microsoft Office or similar.
• A warm and professional manner and excellent communication skills with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Be reliable, well presented and able to represent the clinic in a professional manner at all times
• A qualification in the area of medical administration  will be well regarded.
