Currently we are recruiting for a Director of Market Access, Regulatory & External Affairs. This is a senior leadership role, forming part of our commercial Senior Management Team for Australia & New Zealand. In this role, the successful candidate will provide leadership to our existing high performing teams across Health Economics, Pricing, Regulatory, Communications & External Affairs. Your teams are at the forefront of bringing medicines to patients quickly and enhancing our external reputation.

As one of the world’s most innovative pharmaceutical companies, we have an exciting industry leading pipeline. In 2017 AstraZeneca globally launched 5 significant new medicines across our therapy areas. 2018 is off to a strong start with several products at pre-launch stage in both primary and specialty care within our key therapeutic areas of Oncology, Respiratory & Cardiovascular Metabolic disease.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on a country leadership team role. You will have the opportunity to leverage your pharmaceutical launch experience to shape the AZ strategy for market access, to drive commercial, market access & regulatory outcomes and to create an industry leading team.

So, what are we looking for?

This is a significant leadership role within AstraZeneca. We are looking for a proven leader with demonstrated experience in driving commercial performance within the Pharmaceutical industry.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven success in leading large commercial, strategic planning or market access teams within the Pharmaceutical industry
• Experience working on successful product launch/s, including exposure to TGA approval through to reimbursement
• Developed leadership skills, including the ability to lead cross functional teams to successful outcomes
• Ability to work effectively as a senior manager within a large global matrix organisation
• Specialty care experience would be highly advantageous

We are not necessarily looking for a technical expert in Market Access or Regulatory Affairs, although such applicants will also be considered.

Working as part of our Senior Management Team, you will be actively engaged in the direction and performance of the business in Australia & New Zealand. You will work with other leaders to support the delivery of AstraZeneca’s ambitions, which includes achievement of commercial objectives and the ongoing development of our people.
