The Role:

The RCH currently has full time and part time Registered Nurse opportunities available to work across our Day of Surgery Centre and our Possum Ward.

Our Day of Surgery Centre cares for approximately 10,000 children and their families each year. The Possum Ward cares for patients admitted for a wide range of surgical procedures including tonsillectomy, simple fracture setting, arthroscopy, soft tissue wound repair, cleft lip repair, hernia repair, skin grafting and cardiac catheterisation.  You will have the opportunity to work with medical, nursing, allied health (eg social work, occupational therapists, physiotherapists etc) and administrative staff in a short stay environment.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with APHRA.
  • Recent experience in an acute surgical area of nursing.
  • Paediatric experience is desirable.
  • Evidence of on-going professional development as reflected in Professional Practice Portfolio.
