About the role:
Reporting to the Facility Manager at Yarra West Aged Care Facility, located in Yarraville VIC, we currently have an opportunity for a Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team on a Part Time basis.
This position is responsible for:
- Developing individual programs for residents, including the incorporation of birthdays, family and cultural celebrations
- Supervising, training and assisting Leisure and Lifestyle Assistants in the delivery of Social and Cultural programs
- Meeting resident needs and wants on an ongoing basis in relation to the Lifestyle and Leisure Program
- Promoting and facilitating Volunteer participation within the program
- Facilitating the implementation of organisational and Diversional Therapy Service policies and procedures
- Understanding and integrating the values and philosophy of the organisation into work practices
The successful applicant will possess:
- Previous experience coordinating lifestyle programs and lifestyle team in a residential Aged Care setting
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills
- A Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
- A current First Aid Certificate
- Experience in conducting Dementia specific programs is an advantage
