The Practice:
A rapidly growing surgical practice is looking for a Medical secretary who can work autonomously .A caring and empathetic attitude towards the patients is required.
Currently the role as Medical secretary will be for 2days a week , 9AM to 5 PM. Monday & Wednesday( days can be discussed during interview and the possibility of additional days can also be discussed)
City based specialist rooms and well connected with public transport. No car parking is provided.
Previous medical experience is required and please do not apply for the positions if you have no prior experience.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as medical secretary in a paperless office
- Handling telephone queries
- Familiarity with practice management software ( Genie/Shexie/Smartrooms etc)
- Familiarity with organising theatre and inpatient bookings etc
- Accurate Medical Audiotyping ,Scanning and Faxing
- Managing outreach clinic
- Patient accounts
- Coordinating GP visits
- Diary management
- Outpatient and Billing of Insurance companies , TAC , Work cover etc.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and complete tasks in a time bound manner
