The Position
St John of God Geelong Hospital has an exciting opportunity available for a Patient Liaison Officer to join our friendly and welcoming team.
The Patient Liaison Officer acts as the key contact person for patients, clinicians, managers and health funds with regards to the patient’s journey, from pre admission to account settlement. A sound knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of Health Funds are essential for further consideration.
This position will be offered on a permanent part time basis, with 30 hours per fortnight (2 days per week) on offer for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will have:

- Interpersonal skills – ability to relate to hospital staff, patients, families and medical staff.
- Ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.

- Proficient knowledge of health industry and health funds.
- Demonstrated clerical and computer skills.
- Ability to work extra shifts or different shifts if required.
