Our client, a Federal Government department based in Canberra’s North, is seeking APS 4, APS 5, APS 6 & EL1 Policy Officers to join their team on a contract basis for a period of 6 months.

 

Candidates will ideally have experience working in a policy area or experience working within legislative frameworks. While a legal qualification is not mandatory, candidates with legal skills or qualifications would be well suited to this position.

 

Some of the duties include but not limited to:

  • Casework – the review of complex applications.
  • Providing assistance to staff on specific operational, policy and legal matters.
  • Assisting to support the Departmental Executive across a number of policy areas.

 

A Negative Vetting Level 1 Government security clearance is essential for this position and the successful candidates need to hold an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
