We have an exciting opportunity for a newly created role of Operations and Performance Improvement Manager to join our team in Sydney. You will be a key member of the Operations and Maintenance team responsible for process management and data accountancy.

Some of your day to day duties will include:

• Monitor, analyze and report O&M cost and operational KPIs trends concerning OpEx, CapEx, Cash Cost, production, energy availability/reliability, efficiency (at plant, technology and Country level), in coordination with the O&M Operational Performance Improvement unit and in collaboration with the Finance function;
• Define O&M OpEx, CapEx, Cash Cost and production budget, in alignment with O&M function and in consideration of the targets set for O&M Area/Country;
• Supervise the implementation and monitoring of the Operational Efficiency process, in accordance with O&M Competence Centers;
• Supervise the implementation/sharing of improvement initiatives and best practices;
• Support the O&M Operational Performance Improvement units with respect to Country organizational and process related themes, in collaboration with the HR function at Country level;
• Ensure and monitor the right use of SAP PM and SAP MM systems;
• Act as Country referent for O&M documental systems (Knowledge Management, Asset Master Data Management, Company Knowledge System), communication initiatives and O&M Creating Shared Value projects;
• Manage O&M Contracts and logistic processes at O&M Country level in collaboration with Operational Performance Improvement unit and Procurement function;
• Manage/supervise BSO contracts and collaboration with third parties
• Manage industrial Facilities and Asset Management contracts at Country level;
• The role requires close cooperation with Operation & Maintenance function.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree qualification preferably in Engineering or Economic disciplines, Masters a plus.
• At least 5 years’ experience in renewable power plant operation and maintenance sector (preferably wind and solar technologies)
• Very good knowledge of renewable energy systems, O&M processes, contract management and economic principles
• Excellent knowledge in budgeting and managing head count
• Excellent communication, negotiation, strategy and leadership skills
• Ability to travel locally and internationally where required
