THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Design Engineer to join the BEC Group in this newly created role which will see you reviewing, analysing and evaluating business processes to identify and implement improvements in efficiencies across the group.
Initially focusing on our Arndell Park site, you will be working directly with the General Manager on production, quality and efficiency as well as being involved in change projects. You will form part of a fast paced, energetic team that works to deadlines and excels in finding solutions to business related problems.
- Apply process re-engineering methodology to analyse and evaluate current process or system deficits such as RCA, Top-Down Problem Solving, LEAN, etc
- Identify and implement productivity improvement initiatives that result in production optimisation
- Produce and document production standards, targets and operating practices that ensure effective production process controls are maintained.
- Liaise closely with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Production, Warehouse and R&D teams to understand drivers and impacts on product quality, production continuity and overall performance
- Management of new product launches in consultation with all key stakeholders to ensure optimal production output
- Lead the production of new SKUs and document best practice processes
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will posses the following:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience working in a continuous improvement and/or production line improvement role - ideally within FMCG
- Demonstrated experience in applying business improvement methodologies
- Highly effective communication skills and a strong ability to influence multiple stakeholders
- Proven ability to analyse information and identify solutions
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to prepare and present business cases for improvements
