Our Environment Planning team in Canberra has a strong pipeline of opportunities that positions us for growth. We are seeking a Junior Environmental Planner / Scientist who has the drive and enthusiasm to develop their career and deliver interesting projects across ACT.
  
Successful candidates will work on a variety of projects and main responsibilities will include:
  • Environmental impact assessments and the preparation of technical reports
  • Liaise and consult with internal and external clients
  • Lead and assist with small to medium size projects and coordinate technical specialists
You will have a recognised qualification in Science, Environmental or Urban Planning and have 2-4 years' relevant experience.  You are also required to have a knowledge of ACT planning legislation and its application and a knowledge of environmental impact assessments.

In addition, you will:
  • Possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Display strong attention to detail;
  • Demonstrate an ability to influence, engage and build trust with internal and external stakeholders
  • Have experience in environmental regulatory approvals for infrastructure projects, with a focus on the transport sector is desirable
  • Willingness to travel for work as negotiated and occasionally required.
