Graduate Engineer
Position No. 821
Permanent Full Time
Band 5 $64,093 - $73,836 per annum plus 9.5% statutory superannuation
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Engineer to join our Built Environment business unit. The successful candidate will form solutions and outcomes relevant to Council road, path and drainage assets, for integration into maintenance and capital works renewal and improvement programs.
The role offers a variety of challenging functions, with a diverse mix of both field and office work. Key duties will include; planning and programming infrastructure upgrade renewal and maintenance programs; developing traffic management solutions; managing and maintaining customer relationships; and undertaking inspections, audit and investigation activities.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below:
- Civil Engineering qualification, or in last year of degree program.
- Understanding of road and drainage infrastructure design and maintenance principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, analyse data and prioritise.
- Ability to liaise with and gain co-operation from other employees, external consultants and the general public.
- Aptitude for using current technology, and skills in utilising Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Microsoft Excel software.
