The opportunity
We are seeking a professional Geotechnical Engineer to join our established Geotechnical Engineering Section with long-term client relationships. This position will be based in Perth, report directly to the Division Manager and will encompass the following:
- Geotechnical analysis and site classifications;
- Assessment and review of testing material, soil & lab results;
- Formulate reports across a range of projects e.g. slope stability, retaining walls, construction monitoring, soil testing and ground investigation;
- Work with existing clients to understand their requirements;
- Develop new clients through various marketing strategies and existing networks;
- Liaise with colleagues and other departments as requested, providing technical advice as required.
Who are we looking for?
To succeed in this role the successful applicant will require:
- A Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering specialising in Geotechnical, or equivalent, would be an advantage;
- Strong management and leadership skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, in order to effectively deal with clients and staff;
- Strong organising & planning ability, both personally and in a management context;
- A minimum of 5 years relevant building/construction industry experience would be an advantage;
- An understanding of the business / commercial environment, and the flexibility to deal with the pressures and demands of the business;
- Self-motivation and proactivity;
- A high level of business integrity and client focus;
