About the Opportunity
We are now seeking a Project Engineer to join our Jindi Cheese business based at Jindivick, West Gippsland just outside of Melbourne. Reporting to the National Engineering Manager, you will be required to utilise your expertise in engineering and project management to provide technical support and management for major continuous improvement programs and capital engineering project work to be carried out. As this is a hands on position, you will be expected to manage each project from conception through to completion. You will also be required to complete monthly reporting on the financial status of the sites Capex program for the year.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll hold degree qualifications in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, along with previous Project Engineering experience within the food manufacturing industry. You'll be a team player who is commercially savvy and possesses a level of understanding of OH&S that is commensurate with a FMCG manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills are essential, along with your problem solving ability, time management and organisational skills which are likely to be tested by the varying challenges in a FMCG business. If you have Automation and Project Management experience and/or qualifications these will be highly regarded.
