Applications Engineer - Electronic Components

The Role:

CSG has been engaged by a global leading electronic components distribution company for the recruitment of an application engineer. Reporting to the Technical Manager the position is to provide applications and design solutions to the customer engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Represent and position the clients product line card at all technical levels and offer either support directly or a clear path of engagement for the customer.
• Collaborate with colleagues, Sales, Product Marketing, Supplier Development Manager and key suppliers to identify and promote products targeting key customers and markets.
• Maintain a CRM database
• Increase product attach rates by understanding design requirements and utilising this knowledge into a commercial result.
• Localized training of sales teams product knowledge

Requirements:

• Bachelors of Electronics Engineering
• Field experience in electronic component applications engineering.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• A good understanding of commercial strategies and how to apply these to varying customer base.
• A proactive individual willing  and open to adapting and learning their employers processes and implementing these successfully in the role.
