Job tasks and responsibilities
- Repair, refurbish, recondition, maintain, install, test and fault find mechanical and electrical faults on machinery of Headland customers;
- A desire to expand mechanical/ electronic skills across Headland Machinery product range
- A willingness to travel to customer sites, both in NSW and Interstate if required
- Build and maintain positive service relationships with Headland customers, to ensure that customer satisfaction objectives set by the business are met and exceeded
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and other written technical instructions
- Participate in machinery exhibitions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with a genuine commitment to high level customer service
Skills and experience
- A background involving automated vertical storage systems would be highly beneficial
- Two years experience in a similar role is desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a Diploma/Degree involving Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant trade tickets and licenses
- Willngness to learn new skills
- Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Experience and technical knowledge of CNC machines is advantageous
- Experience and technical knowledge of automated storage systems/lifts/elevators is advantageous
- Experience in Sheet Metal Industry is advantageous
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain will be highly regarded
