SUEZ is looking for a Proposals Engineer who will support infrastructure proposals in our busy Water division.

Primary Duties

• Manages, coordinates and implements a winning proposal, or part thereof depending on the complexity and the size of the Project, in a manner that is consistent with the strategy, commitments and goals of the company.
• Suggests, implements, and adapts the proposal strategy to deliver a winning proposal meeting the client requirements.
• Positions themself as the leader for the work which they are responsible for.
• Responsible for cost, quality, time and competitiveness of the proposal, or part thereof, entrusted to them. As such, draws up the planning and the budget for the proposal, and follows-up during the course of the development of the proposal.
• Ensures that all tasks are addressed, and coordinates with other departments and support services (Business Developers, engineering, procurement, Technical Direction, delivery and O&M teams, legal, contract management, finance, tax, insurance...) wherever necessary.
• Ensures that the delivery organisation and strategy are defined in coordination with the relevant experts and contributors.
• Drives the process, engineering and drafting teams in order to target the most competitive layout, technologies and process treatment lines; ensures the timely production of all the design deliverables required for the proposal.
• Ensures the costing of the project and estimates the value of the project against the bid evaluation criteria. 
• Reports on all risks and opportunities, and proposes mitigation strategies where necessary.
• Contributes to Client’s presentation and/or negotiations upon request of Business Developer or the Bid Manager
• Ensures a proper transfer of their Proposal scope to the Execution Team after the Project is awarded.
• Accountable for the application of the internal approval processes, documentation and monitoring the decisions.

Other Duties

• Provides technical and product support to the Business Development Team.
• Responsible for developing budget offers in support of the Business Development Team.
• Provides assistance to the Design & Build Team during the delivery of projects.

Essential Criteria

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Environmental or Civil) or equivalent.
• 3-5 years or more of experience in the water industry.
• Track record of significant contributions to project bids.
• Excellent people skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
