- Drainage Engineer Opportunity - client side
- $42 - $46/hour + super on 5 months contract initially
- Based in Footscray
An immediate opportunity has become available for an experienced drainage engineer to join a busy council located in Footscray.
The Role:
As the drainage engineer, you will be focusing predominately on several of drainage infrastructure projects, and detailed duties include:
- Review and evaluation of drainage designs or plans for development projects
- Assessing stormwater discharge permits and building over easement
- Technical investigation and reports preparation
- Liaising with key stakeholders (developers, land owners, contractors & consultancy)
- Handling compliance and customer service representing council
The Person:
In order to be considered for the drainage engineer role, you will have:
- Territory qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in carrying out investigation and providing drainage solution
- Experience as drainage engineer working within local government (ideal)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- understanding of Local government policies, procedures and legislation
