Aeroklas-TJM specialises in the development and distribution of automotive components, products and equipment throughout Australia and global distribution network.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated System Administrator for PDM/ PLM & CAD to join our dynamic team located at Geebung, Brisbane.  Reporting to the Design Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible providing daily maintenance and automation solutions for CAD processes, management of in-CAD settings, administration of engineering and design software, Product Data Management (PDM) settings and processing standards for the automotive industry.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Complete and manage project and administration timelines as required.
• Point of contact for all system administration issues for our cross continental engineering team.
• Liaise between cross functional teams

Required skills and experience:

• Experience with the management and administration of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, preferably SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA V5.
• Experience with management and administration of PDM / PLM systems VAULT Autodesk and Siemens TeamCenter CAD Data Management Software.
• Experience using a Product Data Management (PDM) system to check-out and check-in CAD files. VAULT / TeamCenter etc.
• Works with the Engineering teams to create and maintain the design library structure, load released parts into it, and submit files to licensees and remote sites.
• Ability to work with DOS, UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Ability to create standards and manage settings.
• Ability to be an interface between Engineering and Information Technology (IT) professionals to define requirements for CAD software and hardware optimization.
• Ability to upgrade and maintain hardware, workstations, 3D printer, 3D scanning equipment, etc.
• Ability to work in a team environment, present proposed solutions to mid and upper management using common office software (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to support our customers and CAD users in data migration and other utility tasks in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Ability to support distributed global engineering teams. (Australia, Thailand and USA)
• Experience installing Engineering and CAD software on the engineering computers, troubleshoots and works with users to resolve issues.
• Work with the product and manufacturing engineering groups to define best practices for CAD drawings, models, and assemblies.
• Maintain and manage our global PDM/PLM and CAD systems implementation, including library structure, workflows, and security roles of users.
• Maintain the Engineering and CAD software licenses, recommending CAD software packages, number of licenses, and platform upon which they are installed.
• Obtains pricing from vendors, renews purchase orders, and advises for the CAD budget
• Ability to perform troubleshooting between multiple CAD and PDM systems, maintain production in 50+ user environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize, strong attention to detail, excels in a team environment, initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
