Chandler Macleod are delighted to be recruiting a Heavy-Duty Mechanic for South32 for their Bauxite mine based in Boddington.
The Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working within the Mobile Maintenance Team this role will be predominantly working on their Caterpillar fleet.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Completion of maintenance activities
• Working with a variety of mobile plant
• Refurbishment and replacement of mobile, mechanical equipment
• Working towards KPI’s
•
You will be an individual who upholds the highest health, safety and environment standards and works towards cost effective solutions.
About You
We are looking for someone with the ability to communicate at all levels.
Additionally, you will bring:
• A relevant trade qualification
• Ideally, Working at Heights, Confined spaces, Rigger, Dogman, CN/CV Crane Ticket, Forklift Ticket
• Hands on experience of working with Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi mobile equipment
• Open cut mining experience
• Strong technical fault finding skills
• Computer literate with SAP or similar

The Boddington Bauxite Mine is located 130km south east of Perth and employees can choose to live in Boddington or nearby.
