The Role
Due to upcoming projects, we are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our busy team. The Geotechnical Engineer will provide accurate geotechnical information through effective geotechnical investigations, and factual and interpretive reporting. The key areas of responsibility of the role include but are not limited to:
- Design and construction of earthworks related to mining infrastructure, such as tailings water dams, foundation earthworks, et;
- Assisting with the planning, acquisition and analysis of field data including geotechnical logging and mapping;
- Assist with geotechnical drilling programs;
- logging; Site supervision and
- Laboratory testing;
- Numerical modelling and analysis
This role will require regular travel to project sites, including remote locations, however with periods of office-based work.
Our Ideal Candidate
You will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering, have worked at least 5 years in a similar role within the mining/construction industry, and will ideally possess:
- Strong geotechnical design experience and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Flexibility to travel both interstate and internationally including remote locations.
This role will suit candidates interested in varied and flexible working arrangements on a project to project basis.
