An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our expanding Diagnostics Division within Brisbane.

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will ensure the installation, testing, servicing and repair of all medical devices and equipment complies with Abbott standards and all legal and ethical requirements.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Install, test, service, repair and undertake periodic preventative and corrective maintenance on medical devices and equipment ensuring conformity with company specifications and customer requirements, modifying and updating equipment when required, and respond to requests for emergency repairs to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and maintain detailed service and failure records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and ethical requirements.
• Provide training on devices and equipment to technicians and Abbott Representatives. Instruct customers in maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Complete user verification checks of SME Test Equipment as required. Maintain SME calibration schedule.

Knowledge/Education Required:

• Two years of formal electronic, electrical or engineering education

Experience Required:

• Two years of technical experience in servicing/repairing medical equipment, consumer electronics, or equivalent equipment.
• Diagnostics experince
• Must be comfortable with travelling both regionally, and occasionally overseas
• Drivers licence is essential

Due to the nature of this role, the salary package includes Base Salary + Super + Car Allowance + Incentive.
