WHAT WE DO
Ampcontrol Technology provides professional research and development services in electrical and electronic engineering. As a collaboration between the University of Newcastle and Ampcontrol, the union bridges the gap between academia and industry, enabling industrial clients to access contemporary and fundamental knowledge and providing commercially viable solutions via a broad range of experience and technologies.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is your opportunity to join Ampcontrol Technology in an exciting newly created position. Working closely with a team of world-class R&D Engineers and external clients, you will take responsibility for the project and technical management of a portfolio of cutting-edge R&D projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This is a unique opportunity that will see you lead diverse multi-disciplinary projects that transform and disrupt the way industries work. Major objectives of the position include:
- Providing project management, accounting and quality control of R&D project execution;
- Collaborating with multidiscipline engineers for the development of products and application solutions;
- Providing customer management and project delivery;
- Providing training, mentoring and leadership to the Ampcontrol Technology team;
- Making technical and commercial value judgments in collaboration with customer, product management and principal engineering.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree level qualifications in Engineering;
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in engineering product development;
- Project management experience (qualifications advantageous)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment;
- Technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to present technically complex information.
