Senior Utilities / Civil Engineer– Transport

Due to the continuous success of our Asia Pacific operations, we currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Utilities Engineers at both mid and senior levels to join our Sydney Transport Infrastructure team.
 
Do you have an interest in subsurface or civil engineering? Are you experienced in asset relocations planning? WSP is expanding its utilities team and is interested in talking to individuals that possess experience with utility authorities or utility design.
 
A background in Water, Power, Gas, ICT or Civils is ideal but not essential. It is important to have strong communication skills both written and verbal, as the role will require liaising with internal and external stakeholders, presentations and written responses. You will be involved in tenders, all levels of design and design management, strategic reports and advice.
 
Duties include but not limited to:

• Interface management and client engagement
• Effective liaison between both internal and external stakeholder
• Provide technical and financial input to tender and bids
• SID and continuous improvement
• Concept Design, Detailed Design, Preliminary Papers etc. (12d experienced advantageous)
• Identify risks and opportunities for the design and planning of utilities (water, telecommunication, gas and power) protection and relocation.
• Drafting proposals demonstrating understanding of project needs.
• Co-ordinate and support multi-disciplinary design concepts including water, gas, telecommunication and power.
• Understand and adhere to local standards and specifications.

 
What we are looking for?

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar related qualification.
• Minimum 3-4 years experience working within the design sectors of utilities servicing and relocation.
• Demonstrated experience working with all sectors within utilities including telecommunication, water, gas and power.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with the finalising of design packages.
• Ability to lead and manage a small team.
• Experience working on major urban infrastructure projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of stakeholder engagement.
