Currently we have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Bowen Hills. Working within the utilities and infrastructure sector you will be reporting into the Operations Manager covering multiple projects across Australia, in a business that has a strong pipeline of future work. In particular, you will be dealing with renewables, focusing on the design of Solar Farms, substations and switchyards, modelling, connections and generator validations. Your responsibilities will include a combination of office based planning, pre-contract and contract design, as well as resource allocation.
Collaborating with key areas of the business, as well as liaising with contractors, consultants and external stakeholders, such as NSP/TSP providers, your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships is a must.
To be successful in this role you will have similar experience as an Electrical Engineer in a design capacity, with experience in renewable energy and in particular solar and wind farms. You will be a subject matter expert in this area, as well as utility substations and switchyards. You will be degree qualified, a Registered Professional Engineer and have a passion for renewables, as well as a demonstrable track record of on time delivery within budget, and detailed design.
