Downing Teal is a specialist recruitment and employment company that provides tailor made, innovative recruitment solutions.
We are assisting our local Gladstone client who require the services of (2) Control Systems Engineers for their local Gladstone operations.
These roles are required to provide additional support with the current project schedule road map for the next 12 months.
The two opportunities available are as per the below:
- Junior Control Systems Engineer
- Mid/Senior Control Systems Engineer
Both opportunities are projected to run over a 12 month period but subject to change based on project requirements.
Role responsibilities may include:
- Programming PLC/SCADA systems
- Undertake investigations, conceptual engineering, detailed design, configuration, programming and documentation to achieve the objectives of quality, schedule and budgeted man-hours.
- Handling the running of small projects across the operation
- Accept responsibility directly, or through delegation, for the accuracy and quality of Control System design and documentation.
- Undertake control system engineering, design, documentation, testing and commissioning to achieve the objectives of quality, schedule and budget man hours whilst requiring limited technical supervision.
- Liaising with stakeholder across the clients operations
- Responsibility for LV design.
Prior experience and qualifications in the below areas would of advantage:
- Hold a Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical)
- Current RPEQ Qualification – mandatory for midlevel – senior role
- Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in QLD
- Prior experience with AB Controllogix PLC & FactoryTalk SCADA
- Experience working with bulk materials handling plants, ship loaders, electrical and control system design
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
- Proactive approach to workplace safety and commitment to zero harm.
