About the company
You will be joining an international company that manufactures waste management and compaction machinery locally in Australia and are a tier one provided to their market sector.
About the role
Your role will be to provide design drawings to the engineering group, using AutoCAD and Solid works packages, provide working drawings for fabricators and mechanical installers. You will be required to interpret the provided criteria and measurements creating accurate drawings in a timely fashion.
Duties in the role
- Provide specific drawings for manufacturing and the installation of compaction and loading systems
- Review provided measurements and site criteria to develop drawings
- Produce price and detailed estimations for individual projects
- Maintain an open line of communication with all key internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise closely with manufacturing and workshop
- Travel from time to time to interpret site conditions
Skills and abilities
- Have a Degree in drafting or Mechanical Engineering design
- Be fluent in the use of AutoCAD and Solid Works design packages
- Have sound written and verbal communication skills
- Be commercial competent with price, quotation and tender preparation
- Be a determined self-starter with sound time management, staying on top of your tasks
- Have a focused approach to completing projects on time.
