Knog is known for its edgy brand and marketing of design focused, quality products. Ranging from cycling accessories to consumer electronics.

This is a exciting and challenging role with scope to work closely with China-based development and supply.

 

 

Job tasks and responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Electronics Engineer, your responsibilities will include;

  • Design and development of Hardware, Firmware and other necessary electronic engineering tasks when required. 
  • Prototype builds of SMT PCBs in line with quality specifications.
  • Testing and verification of new electronic designs. 
  • Altium PCB layout
  • Production test planning
  • Writing Design Specs
  • Preparing design validation plans
  • Writing FMEA documents
  • Firmware development in C
  • PC and Mac software testing

 

 

Skills and experience

In order to be successful in this role you will be;
 
• A degree qualified Electrical Engineer.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a product development role
  • Experience with design of consumer electronic products will be considered an advantage
  • Design for high-volume manufacture and production
  • Experience with design for assembly
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience designing and developing PCBs'.
  •  Ability to work cross functionally across different engineering disciplines, including Software and Mechanical.
    • You will have a strong achievement drive, with the focus on developing your engineering skillset. 
    • You must be a strong communicator, with the ability to influence key designs and specifications when required.
