About the Role:
We are currently seeking experienced Project Engineers and Site Engineers to join numerous projects across NT and QLD. To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated and able to show initiative. You have the ability to work autonomously and your organisational skills and ability to multitask will be exceptional. The positions on offer are fly in/fly out on a 28/9 roster, 21/7 roster and 19/9 roster, all with a point of hire Brisbane.
Project Engineer responsibilities:
- Reviewing and implementing relevant client specification and design
- Reviewing and implementing relevant standards and levels of quality required by different stakeholders throughout construction works
- Continuous works to help improve client specific design
- Draft project specific documentation to suit client requirements
- Providing support on technical aspects of construction design to the field teams
- Executing assigned work within budget
- Ensuring that change is effectively managed throughout the project
About You:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience working in the construction, oil and gas or civil industry
- A Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree
- Membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) and CPEng not mandatory, but preferred
- Proven construction management capability on a similar project, including ‘hands-on’ experience in the field
- Display great drive and job focus
- Excellent planning and programming skills applicable to continuous moving targets across many work fronts
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & MSP
- Previous experience in pipeline construction including hydrotesting, coating and bending will be very highly regarded
Site Engineer responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing construction inspection and testing to ensure quality compliance
- Compilation and handover of Workpacks to Construction Supervisors
- Interpretation of plans, specifications and schedules
- Monitoring progress and updating of project schedules
- Assist with project procurement processes
- Knowledge and adherence to required and relevant legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety
- Establishing and implementing systems to ensure construction work complies with engineering drawings
- Assist with project documentation development for close-out and handover (MDR, as-builts, etc)
About You:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in the construction, oil and gas or civil industry
- A Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree
