RTL is a leading provider of mining, earthworks, civil construction and transport services in the Latrobe Valley and surrounding regions. With over 26 years’ in business and a respected reputation in the industry, RTL has an opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to join our team.
In this critical role, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the construction business unit of RTL. This is a senior role reporting to the General Manager.
The role is responsible for oversight of both the work winning and work execution functions within the construction business unit with an overarching target to safely and profitably generate revenues in excess of $20m per annum.
The RTL business is committed to pursuing new work in construction and earthworks to support the diversification strategy of the business and is seeking an applicant who can lead and position the construction business unit for sustainable growth.
To be considered for this role, the following are essential:
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering;
- Minimum 15 years’ experience at relevant management level within the Construction and Earthworks industry;
- Extensive experience in management of large scale construction and earthworks projects;
- Track record of leadership, estimating, cost management, engineering management and the delivery of multiple projects on time and within budget;
- Demonstrated experience in achieving health, safety, quality and environmental objectives.
- Highly effective communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent understanding of OHS requirements and compliance;
- Thorough understanding of corporate governance, industry standards and best practice.
Successful applicants will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, which will involve drug and alcohol testing.
