Job Title: Asset Manager
Location: Melbourne, VIC
Pay Rate: $130k+ base + super

Company
The client is a specialist Civil Engineering contractor, involved in a number of projects across the Australian market. They are currently seeking an experienced Asset Manager for their team to operate within one of their contracts. The work involves routine, cyclic, reactive maintenance, and smaller capital works.

Main Duties
As the Asset Manager, you will have previous experience and knowledge between undertaking a hands-on managerial role and a typical asset management role. With this experience, you will devise and apply solutions that suit cost consideration, performance, efficiency, and life expectancy considerations. Other parts of the roles will include design management, assisting the team in controlling all aspects of the project including H&S, Commercial & Contractual Aspects, overall Programming of the works, staffing and building of the team, and management of the staff to meet project objectives.

Key responsibilities include;

• Engagement and management of key supply chain partners.
• Working closely with the estimating and planning team in initial project start-up phase
• Managing to interface with the client and negotiating with stakeholders.
• Regularly reporting to the Board on progress and commercial matters.

Requirements
The successful candidate will bring to the role;

• Previous demonstrated experience in delivering major maintenance projects through an Asset Management type role.
• In-depth knowledge of solution specification, product knowledge, costing of solutions, life-cycle of products and solutions.
• A practical-minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a construction related qualification
• Min 10 years post graduate experience preferably in a maintenance environment
• Previous demonstrated experience in successfully delivering modern forms of contract in a maintenance environment
