An outstanding opportunity exists to join a global market leader and dominant force in the Australian gaming market.  IGT is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of gaming products and systems.  IGT Australia provides a range of gaming products, systems and services to the Club, Hotel and Casino industries.

The APAC Systems Services organization is in need of an experienced Systems Support Engineer to join our Sydney based team. As a self-starter, you will provide day-to-day 1st and 2nd level customer support, administration and reporting to clients using IGT Systems products.  Attention to detail, being concise in your communications, understanding the overall functionality of our products will be essential to the overall success of the successful candidate. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Analyses and troubleshoots systems problems reported by customers.
  • Researches, responds to and resolves issues and logs issues in tracking database.
  • Follows up with customers to keep them informed of status of both open and closed issues.
  • Log, prioritise and track all issue resolutions, engaging the relevant tools and resources.
  • Manage customer relationships by maintaining regular (at least monthly) site visits and report on any issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate Site Manuals.
  • Compile monthly status reporting on tasks and compliance to Service Level Agreements.
  • Escalates unresolved Level 2 customer calls to appropriate internal resources.
  • Ensure that daily proactive support procedures and health checks are completed and reported.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to obtain gaming licenses.
  • Good working knowledge of hardware and software applications.
  • Experience in technical IS and technical support.
  • Knowledge and experience of IGT gaming systems.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 2003/2008, AIX Unix, SQL Server 2005/2008 and Microsoft Office Suite 2007.
  • Must handle responsibilities by multi-tasking, working independently and with minimal direction.
