An opportunity has become available at our Corporate Head Office in Sydney for a Senior Estimator / Proposals Manager.
A generous salary package will be negotiated reflective of your skills and experience. This is a full time permanent role that is a key part of our growth plans.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate several years experience in estimating from first principles. Equivalent experience in project planning and delivery is also acceptable. Applicants should outline experience specifically in asset protection and corrosion prevention projects.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required as are strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to review technical specifications, to document work method statements, to identify all cost inputs and to produce formal tender submissions.
This role requires a person who is passionate about their work and has a good eye for detail. Duties include:
- Own the tender from site inspection through to operational handover
- Lead the bid, understand the bid documents, scope of works and contract
- Obtain pricing from subcontractors/suppliers and ensure they are aware of requirements
- Develop a work method, program and budget to support an accurate and compliant tender submission
- Preparing bid from first principles
- Follow Company policy and procedures for the tender submission process
- Identification of new opportunities and development of industry relationships
