This opportunity is to join Downer in the role of WA State Manager, a critical role to the WA business responsible for the overall management of operations for the state.
You will be hands on in developing our clients, building relationships and managing delivery expectations across a broad range of roads projects. You will lead initiatives for the Roads division including commercial and business development, optimisation and business improvement through to our ongoing commitment to Zero Harm. You will be team orientated, being tasked with the development of the group including individual and team progression through strategic development of skills, and mentorship.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management, ideally with experience in an Engineering or Construction based environment.
- A strong track record of management of a medium to large national or international business, with a focus on people development, commercial management and strategic growth and long-term strategy.
- Ability to take the lead on relationship management, with an engaging stakeholder approach to best position Downer for success with both new and existing clients.
- Excellent financial management including comprehensive P&L management for a sizable business, through to budgeting, revision and analytic management.
- Hands on experience in management of a Zero Harm business, with focus on high level safety, management and standards.
- Technical experience in Roads/Resurfacing highly regarded.
