This contractor are a highly regarded player in the Victorian Civil Construction industry who have grown the business organically over the years. They are now seeking to employ a Manager - Civil Construction to continue their business evolution and provide another layer to their management/leadership team. This business is a highly regarded operator throughout the Gippsland region and represents an amazing opportunity for someone looking to take their career to the next level.

As the Manager - Civil Construction, you will play a key role in motivating/managing and mentoring a team of Engineers/Supervisors. With a whole of life approach, you will manage projects from the bid phases, through to success, delivery and financial close out. As the Manager you will ultimately take responsibility for the financial performance of the division, the culture that is created and success that you help facilitate. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Key responsibilities include;

• Tender bids work up and submission
• Client Interface
• Management of Civil Supervisors
• Cost control of projects 
• Project scheduling and Planning
• Progress claims and invoicing

REWARDS & REQUIREMENTS

To secure this position, you will have a successful history of performing either a similar role within the Civil Construction industry or alternatively be seeking to take the next step in your career. Additionally, you will have suitable tertiary qualifications, strong commercial acumen, a personable approach to business and a strong history in the delivering or VicRoads & Infrastructure projects up to $5m. This role is based in Gippsland so you will need to be living in the region or be prepared to relocate on a permanent basis. Salary package will be in the vicinity of $120,000 - $150,000 depending upon experience.
