Salini Impregilo S.p.A, an industrial Group specialising in the construction of major, complex projects throughout the world, and NRW Civil and Mining, a leading provider of diversified services to the resources and public infrastructure sectors, are jointly delivering one of Western Australia's most transformational public transport projects, the Forrestfield-Airport Link.
Salini Australia Pty Ltd are employing personnel to undertake work for the Joint Venture on the Forrestfield Airport Link Project. We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter who has experience with large scale dewatering activities, that can act as a shift Leading Hand.
This position will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water supply systems, dewatering systems, compressed air systems, water treatment plants, pipeline / reticulation installation and maintenance on both the surface and underground.
The role will involve leading a crew of personnel, planning, scheduling and ensuring adherence to overall shift requirements for this important activity as part of the tunnelling and construction works on the project.
Your experience may be in either construction or mining environments
To be considered for this role, the following is essential:
- 5 years relevant work experience
- Understanding and exposure of Reverse Osmosis Plants
- Experience with Dewatering, Compressed Air and Water Systems
- Experience working on Major Construction or Mining Projects
- Health and Safety focused
- Able to work Perth based Day Shift and be on call 24 / 7
- Able to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environment.
- Strong people management capabilities
- Well-developed organisational skills.
- Able to work to deadlines and targets and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
