ABOUT THE ROLE

RCR is now firmly established as Australia's leading Utility Scale Solar EPC contractor. With 800MW of renewable projects currently under construction, there is a requirement for a commercially astute Procurement Officer to support our Procurement & Logistics team across multi-million-dollar renewable energies portfolios in a range of diversified locations.

Commencing May 2018, the Procurement Officer is the key contact for our suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding all purchasing aspects of assigned contracts effectively. This role will report to the Procurement & Logistics Manager & require a result-focus & adaptable approach to succeed.

DUTIES

• Manage and coordinate suppliers to meet company`s goals regarding quality, delivery and cost by applying specialist procurement skills.
• Set minimum benchmark of the procurement process across RCR ensuring requirements of projects and the business are met.
• To provide end to end service to RCR from initiation to handover/close out of procured/purchased items.
• Use mature and adaptable approach.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Purchasing.
• Previous experience in a similar Procurement / Commercial role handling complex and diverse contracts.
• Exposure to renewable energy equipment and HV systems.
• High level of competency with MS Word and Excel.
• Expert knowledge of procurement process.
• Sound understanding of basic accounting practices including GL codes.
• Ability to work unsupervised to achieve outcomes.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Effective communication skills tailoring depending on audience and required outcome
